“ This place is excellent. It’s been in the to do list for quite a long while and I’m glad to have finally visited. It also came highly rated among some Grimsby local friends. Our server was a lovely lady whose name was Barbara I think... she did an incredible job detailing the specials for both mains and desserts and was extremely accommodating and kind. A sweet individual. The other staff we interacted with were lovely as well! The food now. Excellent bread service - oil and bread are an unbeatable combo that is hard to mess up. The carbonara was a wonderful consistency and had a good amount of flavour. How ever what made both dishes in my opinion was the pasta itself. Obviously homemade, it was deliciously doughy. Portion sizes appeared small but honestly were the correct amount. There is something to be said about being served what is likely an appropriate portion size relative to the care that went into the preparation of the dish. I will absolutely be returning in the future to try more of their dishes - ”

“ Our sons took us out for dinner to their favourite restaurant, Casa Toscana. I can clearly see why they love it. This small, quaint restaurant located in the heart of Grimsby is well worth the visit. Along with the complimentary bread, we began with the mussels and Alici Marinate - white sardines. Give it a try, great fresh flavour. Our wine was a couple of bottles that you can’t find in Canada, one from Sicily and one from Tuscany... both amazing. Add to this an Aperol Spritzer, my favourite. Our mains were all different and all great in their own way. From branzino to zozzona to a wonderful Aglia, Olio e Pepperoncino. When you go, take the liberty to explore...and orders from the specials too. We finished off with specialty desserts and a couple espressos. We will be back as I want to try some other dishes that caught my eye... ”
